ATLANTA -- The ex-girlfriend of former Atlanta Falcon linebacker Prince Shembo said she believes he planned to kill her dog. The part-time student, model and actress spoke for the first time Monday about what happened to her pet Yorkie.
Shembo was arrested last week and charged in connection with the beating death of her dog Dior. Denicia Williams said after leaving Dior with Shembo while she went into another room, she came back to find her dog close to death. "I saw him laying in the cage with his eyes open and he was breathing but, (there was) no response from him," she told 11Alive News.
Williams said she first defended Shembo but she eventually confronted him when his explanation didn't make sense. "And he goes, 'What if I told you that I did hurt Dior?", she said. "And I was like, 'What did you do?' He said, 'I kicked him.' And I was like, once? And he said no."
