GRAYSON, Ga -- A bank security officer was charged with aggravated assault after he tried to stop a crime inside the Brand Bank in Grayson Wednesday. Police said the guard, Dale Taylor, 67, stabbed a suspect who tried to cash a forged check.
Ivan Clark, age 29, walked into the bank and went up to a teller and tried to cash a fraudulent check for under $1,500, according to police. "While he was doing this the tellers realized that the check was fraudulent and made contact with the security officer," said Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Deon Washington.
Police said as soon as Clark realized the bank was on to him, he tried to walk out. That's when he was confronted by Taylor who tried to block Clark from leaving the bank.
